Clinical observation of acupuncture treating on the patients of essential hypertension with insomnia

Abstract
    [Objective] To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treating on the patients of essential hypertension with insomnia. [Methods] The 90 patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each group has 45 cases. All of them received the treatment of oral drugs to lower blood pressure. The observation group received acupuncture and the control group oral zopiclone capsules, statistic the results after 28 days of therapy, taking 24 hours ambulatory BP monitoring and PSOI as clinical efficacy evaluation criterion. [Results] Two groups of patients had effect in lowering blood pressure and insomnia. The observation group was better effect than that of the control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Acupuncture can lower blood pressure and insomnia.
