Study on the rating scales and the law of the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of diabetic peripheral vascular disease

Abstract
    [Objective] To reveal the difference of the rating scales of the patients of the different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM )syndrome of diabetic peripheral vascular disease in order to provide solid, objective knowledge basis for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. [Methods] The 202 patients with diabetic peripheral angiopathy were divided into three groups based on symptoms, which include Qi-Yin asthenia with blood stasis, Qi-Yin asthenia with dampness-heat and Yin-Yang concurrent deficiency. The rating scale was used to evaluate differences among groups. [Results] The score of the rating scale with control status scale for diabetics and diabetic quality of life showed gradually decreases in the Qi-Yin asthenia with blood stasis group, the Qi-Yin asthenia with dampness-heat group and the Yin yang concurrent deficiency group(P<0.01).[Conclusion] The Yin-Yang concurrent deficiency group has worst results in control status scale for diabetics and diabetic quality of life. The Qi-Yin asthenia with dampness-heat group follows is the next and then is Qi-Yin asthenia with blood stasis group. Various occurrences, control of status scale of disease and quality of life of the patients have been identified in patients with the diabetic peripheral angiopathy syndrome so as to provide reliable, objective evidence for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
