Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of Tiaogan Daozhuo prescription on the blood lipid and aortic plaque in apoE-/- mice. [Methods] ApoE-/- mice were randomly divided into model group and Tiaogan Daozhuo group, high fat diet for 12 weeks, C57BL/6L mice served as the control group were fed with normal diet, after 12 weeks, detection of serum TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C level, oil red O staining assessment aorta plaque scope; small animal ultrasound instrument to detect the aortic plaque area and degree of stenosis. [Results] TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C in the model group were higher than that in control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with model group LDL-C decreased in Tiaogan Daozhuo group(P<0.05), and there was no significant difference of TC, TG and HDL-C. Oil red O staining showed that the range of plaque in the model group was the first, followed by the Tiaogan Daozhuo group, and the last was the control group. Compared with control group, the plaque area and stenosis of aorta in model group were significantly increased (P<0.01), intervention by Tiaogan Daozhuo prescription. The plaque area was decreased (P<0.05), and the degree of stenosis was significantly reduced (P<0.01). [Conclusion] Tiaogan Daozhuo prescription can decrease the serum levels of LDL-C in apoE-/- mice, and decrease the aortic plaque area and improve the degree of vascular stenosis. |
