Influence of Tetrahydropiperine on transdermal permeation of Glabridin in ointment

Abstract
    [Objective] To investigate the effect of Tetrahydropiperine on transdermal of Glabridin in ointment. [Methods] Franz vertical diffusion cell was adopted to investigate transdermal performance of glabridin and observe the effect of Tetrahydropiperine(THP), azone, borneol on transdermal permeation of Glabridin. [Results] Effect of enhancers on Glabridin was ranked as follows: 0.04%THP > 0.03%THP > 0.02%THP > 5% azone > 3%azone > 2%borneol. When the content of THP was 0.04%, the cumulative permeation of Glabridin was the highest, up to 26.51 μg/cm2. The penetration rate amount with 0.04%THP was 5.03 times than which no permeation enhancer. [Conclusion] These different permeation enhancer have the effect of Glabridin, Glabridin can be permeated quickly and efficiently.
