Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects of auricular acupuncture combined with pricking cupping on herpes zoster patients. [Methods] The 72 cases were divided into two groups randomly, and each involved 36 cases. Observation group received auricular acupuncture combined with pricking cupping therapy, and the control group received conventional western medicine treatment. The effects of treatment, with or without postherpetic neuralgia, visual analogue scale (VAS) and the symptoms and signs quantization score were recorded. [Results] The total effective rate(100%) of the observation group was larger than that of the control group (P<0.05). The postherpetic neuralgia incidence of the observation group was 0.00%, which was significantly lower than the 25.00% of the control group (P<0.01). After a course of treatment, the symptoms and signs quantization scores and VAS scores were significantly lower (P<0.05), and the observation group decreased significantly (P<0.05); after two courses of treatment, the symptoms and signs quantization scores and VAS scores of both groups improved significantly (P<0.05), but the symptoms and signs quantization scores and VAS scores were no significantly different between two groups (P>0.05). [Conclusion] Auricular acupuncture combined with pricking cupping treatment of herpes zoster, is quick and no postherpetic neuralgia, and the treatment effect is remarkable. |
