Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of the Tongjiang Hewei decoction on airway inflammation and pulmonary tissue permeability in guinea pig model of gastroesophageal reflux induced cough. [Methods] Sixty healthy male guinea pigs were randomly divided into 6 groups:Tongjiang Hewei group, Shugan Xiere group, Hewei Jiangni group, control group, model group and normal group. GERC models were induced repeatedly by hydrochloric acid instillation, except normal group, given the corresponding intervention measures to each group. After two weeks, execute all animals and observe the histological changes of the esophagus and trachea; evans Blue-invasive method for the determination of pulmonary capillary permeability in guinea pigs. [Results] 1)The inflammation of esophagus and trachea in model group was much more obviously than the normal group; the interaction between Shugan Xiere group and Hewei Jiangni group was significant in improving the guinea pig esophagus and trachea tissue inflammation. Comparing Tongjiang Hewei decoction with omeprazole, there was a significant difference in improving the guinea pig esophagus and trachea pathologic scores (P<0.05). 2) Permeability of the model lung tissue than normal group was significantly increased respectively(P<0.05); the interaction between Shugan Xiere group and Hewei Jiangni group was significant in improving the permeability(P<0.05); Tongjiang Hewei decoction and omeprazole had a significant difference in this area(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Tongjiang Hewei decoction can effectively improve the guinea pig esophagus and trachea inflammation, reduce the permeability of the lung tissue, thereby reduce the inflammatory exudate and cure cough. |
