Abstract
[Objective] A fingerprint analysis and simultaneous determination of six coumarins were established and validated to evaluate the quality of different batches of Cnidium monnieri (L.) Cuss. [Methods] The contents of xanthotoxin, isopimpinelline, bergapten, imperatorin, osthole and isoimperatorin were determined by HPLC. The analysis was carried out on Hedra ODS-2 column(4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase was methanol-0.1% formic acid water aqueous solution in gradient elution. The flow rate was 0.5 mL/min and the detection wave length was 320 nm. [Results] The contents of six components in various bathes of samples were determined and HPLC fingerprint was established. The similarities of 17 batches of Cnidium monnieri (L.) Cuss. were more than 0.980. [Conclusion] The established method could be suitable to evaluate the quality control of Cnidium monnieri (L.) Cuss.
