Abstract
|
In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), traumatic injuries is considered an independent category of pathogenic factors that lead to disharmonies on the body. Traumatic injuries includes sprains, strains, broken bones, scalds, burns, contusions, sprains or animal stings and bites. According to the type, stage and severity of the injury, a different modality and treatment plan is engaged in order to promote and enhance the healing process. This report aims to investigate and analyze the treatment modalities of acupuncture and herbal medicine that TCM incorporates and applies in each stage of a trauma in an effort to promote the healing process. |
