Abstract
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a kind of metabolic disease caused by polygenic inheritance. The main pathophysiological characteristics of T2DM is insulin resistance (IR), and musculi skeleti is the main part of IR. The development mechanism of musculi skeleti insulin resistance correlates to PI3K/AKT signal pathways. Clinical and experimental research shows that Chinese medicine compound and active ingredient can control IR of musculi skeleti and help to prevent and treat T2DM. Therefor, this article discussed the improvement of musculi skeleti IR with Chinese medicine compound and active ingredient by PI3K/AKT pathway.
