Abstract
|
Professor LIU Chao-feng considers that heart is belonged to Yin and located in Yang, so the characteristics of the disease can tend towards Yin or Yang. Although heart palpitations have pathological factors in common with chest stuffiness, the primary symptom is different. It is because when merging the wind belonged to Yang, the development of heart disease characteristics will tend to Yang which shows the form of the active heart palpitations. On the contrary, when cold coagulation and phlegm-turbidity belonged to Yin are primary, it will tend to Yin which shows the form of the congealed chest stuffiness. Professor LIU Chao-feng puts forward the stagnation of Yang Qi caused by pathological factors transforms into heat which makes heart-mind dysphoria firstly, then heat produces wind which makes paroxysm occasionally with the hyperactivity of Yang Qi, finally heat and wind lead to heart palpitations. This article also points out that the treatment of heart palpitations should focus on harmonizing heart and liver, when treating Yang Qi for pathogenesis, and to get rid of wind and heat for symptomatic. |
