Abstract

Myogenic torticollis of children is a common and frequently-occurring pediatric disease. The clinical manifestations are head of the child leaning to the affected side and pronation, face leaning to the uninjured side. In recent years, incidence of the disease is rising in clinical, early detection and treatment has great significance for the prognosis and normal growth of children. Treatment protocols for the children with myogenic torticollis have diverse characteristics. The main therapeutic tool of western medicine is surgery, while the therapeutic tool of traditional Chinese medicine has advantages of simple operation, quick effect, less damage and less adverse reaction. In this paper, present situation and effect of Myogenic torticollis of children treated by massage skill and traction, external application of Chinese medicine, catgut implantation at acupoint, wax therapy, physical therapy, small needle-knife and acupuncture were summarized, and it provides reference for clinical treatment and massage skill of myogenic torticollis of children. |
