Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the protective effects of Taurine (Tau) on the experimental hepatic fibrosis rats.[Methods] The 120 experimental rats were randomly divided into six groups evenly:control group, model group, Tau group with low dosage (150 mg/kg), Tau group with medium dosage (300mg/kg), Tau group with high dosage (600 mg/kg) and Fufang Biejia Rangan Pian group (540 mg/kg). The liver cirrhosis portal hypertension rat model rat models were made by injecting CCl4. After 4 weeks of giving the drugs by intragastric administration once a day, the content of ALT, AST, TBIL, CⅣ, PCⅢ, LN, HA in serum were determined. Observed the histopathological changes of the hepatic tissue by HE staining, and graded the liver tissue necrosis and tissue proliferate; observed the liver tissue fibration situation by sirius staining, determined the activity of SOD, GSH-Px and the content of MDA in hepatic tissue and the content of IL-10, TNF-α in serum.[Results] Compared with model control group, the content of ALT, AST, TBIL, CⅣ, PCⅢ, HA in serum and the HYP in hepatic tissue of Tau medium in high dosage groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01), and the content of LN was significantly decreased (P<0.05); hepatic tissue histopath-ological changes of Tau treated groups were significantly improved, especially the high dosage group. The activity of SOD, GSH-Px in hepatic tissue of Tau group with medium, high dosage treated groups were significantly increased and the content of MDA were significantly decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01); the content of IL-10, TNF-α in serum were significantly decreased (P<0.05, P<0.01).[Conclusion] Tau had protective effects to the hepatic tissue of experimental hepatic fibrosis rats, which may related with its effects of enzyme activity inhibition and hepatic tissue protection, inhibiting oxidative stress and inflammation and improving liver function.
