| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To evaluate the efficacy of Shenqi Shanla Meiye decoction for patients with chronic renal failure and its effects on serum levels of micro inflammatory factor. [Methods] The 80 patients with chronic renal failure were randomly divided into the observation group and control group, with 40 in each. The control group was treated with routine western medicine. The observation group was added with Shenqi Shanla Meiye decoction one does daily. Both groups were treated for 2 consecutive courses, one treatment course lasted for 3 months. The efficacy was observed and the scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptoms, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (Scr), creatinine clearance rate (CCr), albumin (ALB) and the C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were detected before and after treatment. [Results] The total effective rate of the observation group and control group was 82.50% and 57.50% respectively, with a significant difference between groups (P<0.05). The scores of TCM symptoms,BUN, Scr, hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-α in both groups were significantly decreased after treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01), especially in the observation group (P<0.05). The CCr, ALB in both groups ware significantly improved after treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01), especially in the observation group (P<0.05). [Conclusion] Shenqi Shanla Meiye decoction can effective relieve the symptoms of chronic renal failure,nutritional status and renal function. Decreasing hs-CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α may be one of its mechanisms. |
