Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effect of Tianqi Yizhi granules on learning and memory ability of the expression of synaptophysin and MAP-2 in Alzheimer's disease rats. [Methods] Alzheimer's disease animal models were built by injecting Aβ1-42 into the lateral ventricle. The 90 SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups of 15 rats each, which were model group, sham operation group, medicine group (huperzine), low-dose Tianqi Yizhi granules group, medium-dose Tianqi Yizhi granules group, and high-dose Tianqi Yizhi granules group. After continuously administered for 30 days, step through test were used to evaluate the learning and memory skills of the AD rats. Meanwhile, the expression of synaptophysin and MAP-2 in rats' brain were tested by Western Blot. [Results] In the step through test, the latency was increased in the Tianqi Yizhi granules groups compared with the model group (P<0.01), while the error times decreased (P<0.01). In the model group, the expression of synaptophysin and MAP-2 were both down-regulated (P<0.01), and they were both up-regulated in the Tianqi Yizhi granules groups (P<0.01). [Conclusion] Tianqiyizhi granules had improved the ability of learning and memory of Alzheimer's disease rats and it had up-regulated the expressions of synaptophysin and MAP-2 in AD rats' brain, which indicated that Tianqiyizhi granules had a positive influence on the synaptic function in AD rats. |
