Abstract
[Objective] To detect the concentration of 5-HT and NE in peripheral blood and the partial muscle to reveal part of the mechanism of acupuncture therapy treating myofascial pain syndrome. [Methods] The 24 rats were divided randomly and equally into control group, model group, acupunction group and injection group(lidocaine). Then we built the rat model of myofascial pain syndrome by knocking and centrifugal movement for 8 weeks. We tested the concentration of 5-HT and NE by the way of ELISA.At last,we used the program of SPSS 20.0 to do the statistical analysis. [Results] The testing result showed that the 5-HT and NE concentration of model group in the tissue and serum were significantly low than the control group(P<0.05). And the same difference with the 5-HT of injection group The 5-HT and NE concentration of acupunction group in the tissue and serum were significantly low than the model group(P<0.05). The NE concentration of injection group in the tissue and serum were significantly low than the model group(P<0.05), same as the 5-HT concentration of in the serum. But the 5-HT concentration of injection group in the tissue was not significantly different compared with the model group(P>0.05). [Conclusion] The 5-HT and NE concentration in the tissue and serum of the myofascial pain syndrome model rat are significantly low than the normal rat.The acupunction therapy can reduce the 5-HT and NE concentration in the tissue and serum. Injection therapy can reduce the 5-HT concentration in serum and the NE concentration in the tissue and serum. But can not reduce the 5-HT concentration in tissue. So reducing the concentration of 5-HT and NE may be one of the treatment mechanisms of acupunction therapy. And the effect of reducing 5-HT concentration in the tissue of acupunction therapy than that of drug therapy.
