Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects of total glucosides of paeony (TGP) on hemodynamics and hemorrheology in atherosclerosis rats. [Methods] The rat models were made by dirtying with high fat and injecting VD3, and at the same time, which were treated with TGP [50, 100, 200 mg/(kg·d) and simvastatin SV, 1.8 mg/(kg·d)] for 12 weeks, setting normal control group and model group. The histopathological changes of abdominal aorta was observed by HE staining and graded; the indexes of hemorrheology were determined; the level of lv dp/dtmax and t-dp/dtmax were determined; the content of TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C in serum were detected. [Results] Compared with model group, the histopathological changes of the rats in TGP treated groups were improved. The whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, platelet adhesion rate, hematocrit were significantly decreased; the level of lv dp/dtmax was significantly increased and the t-dp/dtmaxwas significantly shortened. The level of TC, TG, LDL-C in serum were significantly decreased while the level of HDL-C was significantly increased, all of the difference above were significant (P<0.05, P<0.01). [Conclusion] TGP has protective effects on the rats with atherosclerosis through improve hemorrheology and hemodynamics. |
