Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the characteristics of heart rate variability (HRV) and duration of chronic fatigue in patients with kidney qi deficiency type and pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver qi type, and to analyze the relationship between HRV, course of chronic fatigue and different traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome types.[Methods] Fifty patients with kidney qi deficiency, fifty with pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of liver qi, and fifty healthy subjects as control group were selected respectively. The HRV analysis was performed in these subjects to observe the time threshold and frequency threshold, as well as the length of its course was compared.[Results] The HRV of the two groups decreased, and the kidney qi deficiency group was higher than the group with pathogenic fire derived from stagnation of live qi. The LF/HF of kidney qi deficiency was normal and that of the latter group>2, while the disease duration of the former was longer than the latter.[Conclusion] There was abnormal autonomic neurological dysfunction in both groups. The sympathetic hyperactivity was mainly in the latter group, and the reduction of HRV was mainly in the kidney qi deficiency group. The duration of disease may indicate the change of deficiency transformed from excess and HRV of the disease. |
