| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To observe the effect of Chinese herbal medicine of Xintong Changluo on the migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs).[Methods] VSMCs was cultured in serum of rats with different concentrations of Xintong Changluo (10%, 20%, 30%), normal rats' serum was used as control group. The VSMCs migration was observed by scratch test and Boyden chamber method. The expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 protein was detected by Western blot.[Results] Serum containing Xintong Changluo can inhibit the migration of VSMCs and the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 proteins, and the inhibitory effect was concentration dependent.[Conclusions] Xintong Changluo can inhibit the migration of VSMCs, and the mechanism may be related to its influence on the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9. |
