Abstract
    [Objective] To investigate the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine constitution and sleep quality.[Methods] The data of 1 033 cases of constitution in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) questionnaire and PSQI in Beijing were collected using cross-sectional survey, and the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine constitution and sleep quality with typical correlation were analysed.[Results] From the point of view of TCM constitution, the factors of the the sleep quality are negatively correlated, while the other 8 pathological constitutions are positively correlated with the quality of sleep. From the perspective of sleep quality, daytime dysfunction is the main factor affecting the quality of sleep and positively correlated with the 8 pathological constitutions. The canonical variable V1, which represents the TCM constitution type, is mainly affected by the gentleness type, and the canonical variable W1, which represents the sleep quality, is mainly affected by daytime dysfunction, sleep disorder and sleep quality.[Conclusion] The constitution type of TCM is related to the quality of sleep. Improving the pathological constitutions and enhancing physical fitness level maybe the effective method to improve the quality of sleep.
