Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects and mechanisms of Isoquercitrin on liver fatty acid metabolism.[Methods] The 8 week old male db/db mice were randomly divided into two groups, control group and Isoquercitrin group. The 6 male C57BL/6J mice were used as normal group. Examinations were performed, including body weight, serum glucose, lipid, histopathology and expression of mRNA after a 4-weektreatment period.[Results] Compared with the Control group, Isoquercitrin group body weight, FBG, CHO, TG, FFA, liver weight, liver weight/body weight of mice decreased significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and improved fat deposition of liver tissue by histological examination. The expression of SREBP1c, FAS mRNA in liver of Isoquercitrin group decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01), PGC1α, PPARα mRNA expression was significantly increased (P<0.05).[Conclusion] The effect of Isoquercitrin improving the db/db mice fatty acid metabolism may be by down-regulating the expression of SREBP1c, FAS mRNA, and up-regulating the expression of PGC1α, PPARα mRNA. |
