Abstract
[Objective] To elucidate the chemical constituents of Radix Polygalae (RP).[Methods] Ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC/ESI-Q-TOF) controlled by Masslynx V 4.1 software was employed for identification of the components in RP. By integrating the information of quasi-molecular and fragment ion, and the retention time and fragment pattern of standards, compounds of RP were identified.[Results] The 29 compounds including xanthones, oligosaccharide esters and saponins of RP were identified.[Conclusion] In this study, the fragment pattern of major compounds in RP was summarized, which provided a basis for further elucidation of chemical substances in RP.
