| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the effects of Huanglian Jiangtang Tablets on serum IL-6 and TNF-α level in type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) rats.[Methods] SD rats were randomly divided into model group and blank group, model group build the model of T2DM rats by intraperitoneal injection the freshly prepared streptozotocin (STZ) solution at 45mg/kg after 4 weeks of high fat diet feeding. After the success of modeling Huanglian Jiangtang tablets of different dosage groups (respectively crude drug 0.081, 0.162, 0.243, 0.324, 0.405, 0.486, 0.567, 0.648, 0.729 g/kg), give defined dose to the rats. Positive group were given Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets 0.2 g/kg, the model group and the control group were treated with the same volume of distilled water. After 4 weeks, detecting FBG, TNF-alpha and IL-6 level.[Results] Compared with the model group, the FBG, TNF-α, IL-6 levels of huanglianjiangtang tablets of different doses were significantly decreased (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Huanglian Jiangtang tablets can significantly reduce the TNF-α, IL-6 level in serum of T2DM rats. |
