| Abstract

| [Objective] To evaluate the Health-related quality of life and its influence factors in endometriosis (chronic pelvic pain).[Methods] The 70 endometriosis-associated chronic pelvic pain patients were chosen as the case group and 77 healthy women at the same age were chosen as the control group. A cross-sectional survey method was used to collect the general information in both groups and the data on the course of disease, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pattern score and visual analog scale (VAS) score. The Health-related quality of life was evaluated according to the EHP-30. The factors were analyzed with multiple stepwise regression analysis.[Results] Comparing with the control group, the scores of pain, control and power lessness, emotional well-being and general health in the EHP-30 in the case group were significantly higher(P<0.01). The multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between TCM pattern score, course of disease and Health-related quality of life(P>0.05). However, there was significant correlation between VAS and Health-related quality of life (P<0.05).[Conclusion] The Health-related quality of life in the endometriosis-associated chronic pelvic pain patients is generally lower than that in the healthy persons. |
