Abstract
|
[Objective] To explore the anti-inflammatory of the ethyl acetate fraction and the alcohol fraction of Qizhu Lianghuo decoction (QZLHD) extract on rat models with gouty arthritis.[Methods] Ninety male SD rats were randomly divided into nine groups (ten rats in each group):blank group, model group, aspirin group, ethyl acetate fraction of extracts of QZLHD groups (low-dose group, middle-dose group and high-dose group), alcohol fraction of extracts of QZLHD groups (low-dose group, middle-dose group, high-dose group). After 5 h of modeling, the inflammation of the joints of rats was observed. After 7 d of treatment, the concentrations of UA, IL-1β and TNF-α in serum were determined, the pathological morphology of the joint tissue were observed, and the numbers of inflammation cell per unit area were counted.[Results] The foot inflammation condition of alcohol fraction of QZLHD groups rats and aspirin group rats were significantly lower than those of model group (P<0.01). The concentrations of UA, IL-1β and TNF-α from serum of alcohol fraction of QZLHD groups rats and aspirin group rats were significantly lower than those of model group (P<0.01,P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the pathological morphology of the joint tissue of rats of alcohol fraction of QZLHD groups and Aspirin group both have improved significantly(P<0.05), while those of the ethyl acetate fraction groups have no significant difference (P>0.05). The inflammatory cells among joint tissue in the alcohol fraction groups were significantly lower than that of model group (P<0.05) and there were no significantly difference between the ethyl acetate fraction groups and the model group (P>0.05).[Conclusion] The alcohol fraction of extracts of QZLHD has anti-inflammatory effects on rat models with gouty arthritis. |
