Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the effect of allicin on hemodynamics and hemorheology in septic shock rats and explore the protective mechanism of allicin on septic shock. [Methods] The rat model of septic shock was reproduced by tail vein injection of lipopolysaccharide (5 mg/kg) and were randomly divided into model group, allicin (3, 6, 12, 24 mg/kg) groups (n=20); and set normal control group(n=20). The drugs were administered by intraperitoneal injection. 24 h later, the indexes of hemodynamics, hemorrheology and blood lipid were determined. [Results] The index of hemodynamics were significantly improved in allicin (6, 12, 24 mg/kg) groups, including incresing the SAP, DAP, MAP, LVSP (P<0.05 or P<0.01), increasing the lv+dp/dtmax and decreasing t-dp/dtmax; the index of hemorrheolog were significantly improved, including reducing whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation index, erythrocyte degeneration index, erythrocyte rigidity index (P<0.05 or P<0.01); the indexes of blood lipid were significantly improved, including decresing the content of TG, TC, LDL-C and increasing the content of HDL-C (P<0.05 or P<0.01). [Conclusion] Allicin has the effect of improving hemodynamics and hemorheology in septic shock rats. |
