Abstract
    [Objective] Based on GC/MS metabolomics techniques, endogenoussmall molecule metabolitesof serum onlung deficiency and cold syndrome and kidney-yang deficiency syndrome in patients with allergic rhinitiswere analyzed, and thereby providing scientific evidence for syndrome typing of them.[Methods] Small molecule metabolites in the serum of allergic rhinitis with lung deficiency and cold syndrome and kidney-yang deficiency syndrome as well as normal control group were detected with GC/MS. PCA and PLS-DA were analyzed using SIMCA-P software, differences of small molecule metabolites inserum among the groups was studied.[Results] Metabolic profile appeared good separation trend between allergic rhinitis with lung deficiency and cold syndrome and kidney-yang deficiency syndrome, three groups were distinguished clearly. The 23 statistically significant differences metabolites were identified using commercially available metabolite libraries (such as the Wiley and NIST mass pools) and the standard metabolite library established in our laboratory. Four differentially identified metabolites were screened from serum of allergic rhinitis with lung deficiency and cold syndrome and kidney-yang deficiency syndrome included alanine, tetradecanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid, 9, 12-octadecadienoic acid, 9-(Z)-O-octadecenoic acid, octadecanoic acid.[Conclusion] The metabolic differences of allergic rhinitis with lung deficiency and cold syndrome and kidney-yang deficiency syndromemainly manifested in amino acid metabolism and nucleotide metabolism,and based on GC/MS metabolomics techniquesmay be used in classified study of Chinese medical syndrome typing.
