| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To discuss the effect of panax notoginsenosides (PNS) or plus amiodarone on left atrial diameter (LAD) and cardiac ankyrin repeat protein(CARP) in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation(PAF).[Methods] Seventy PAF patients were randomized into PNS plus amiodarone group (35 cases) and amiodarone group (35 cases). The rate of sinus rhythm maintenance, LAD and CARP were observed within 6 months of follow-up.[Results] It's demonstrated that the rate of sinus rhythm maintenance in PNS plus amiodarone group was significantly higher than that in amiodarone group (P<0.05). LAD in PNS plus amiodarone group was significantly lower than that in amiodarone group (P<0.05). CRAP in PNS plus amiodarone group was significantly lower than that in amiodarone group (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Compared to amiodarone alone, PNS plus amiodarone can significantly reduce AF recurrence, LAD and CARP in PAF patients. |
