Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of drought stress treatment on the germination and seedling production of Salvia miltiorrhiza, mannitol was used as initiator in this study. Five induced concentrations (1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 9%) and five time points (0 h, 4 h, 8 h, 12 h, 16h) germination tests on Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds were carried out. The seed germination rate, germination potential and simplified vitality index were measured. The results showed that different concentrations and time of mannitol had some effects on the germination potential, germination rate, seedling height, seedling root length and simplified vitality index of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds. The general trend was that the higher the priming concentration and the longer priming time, Salvia miltiorrhiza seed germination and seedling growth inhibition, the stronger part of the treatment significantly improved the role of simplified vitality index to 5% mannitol 4h treatment can significantly improve the quality of Salvia seedlings, Salvia the yield and quality of the foundation.
