| Abstract
|
| [Objective] Investigate the chemical constituents of Whitmania pigra.[Methods] Various column chromatographic methods including silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 were used for the isolation and purification. Chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.[Results] Nine compounds were isolated and identified as indole-3-carboxylic acid-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1), indole-3-carboxaldehyde (2), adenosine (3), 2-hydroxypurine nucleoside (4), uridine (5), adenine (6), uracil (7), xanthine (8), 2-piperidinone (9).[Conclusion] All the compounds are isolated from Whitmania pigra for the first time. |
