Abstract
|
[Objective] This paper adopted research methods of bibliometrics to conduct a visual analysis of literatures related to quercetin through CiteSpace software to explore the research hotspots, frontiers dynamics and development trends in recent years.[Methods] Research literatures related to quercetin in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) database from 2000 to 2017 were analyzed. The cooperation network analysis of authors, countries and regions and institutions was conducted with CiteSpace. Co-occurrence analysis of keywords, co-citation analysis of authors, literatures and periodicals were conducted with CiteSpace. And then relevant visualization maps were drawn.[Results] A total of 19 795 articles were retrieved, with nearly 1 164 articles each year. The most productive countries and regions were China and the United States. Institutional analysis showed that the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of São Paulo publish more papers, up to 270 and 220. The main publications of quercetin were Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry and Food Chemistry. The research focus was mainly on the antioxidant activity of quercetin. In the past five years, there had been many reports on the research on the molecular pharmacological pathway of the antioxidant of quercetin and on the nanoparticles research of quercetin.[Conclusion] The results of CiteSpace software analysis showed that the research on the pharmacological molecular mechanism of quercetin antioxidant activity and on the pharmaceuticals nano-preparations are the research hotspots and the possible development direction in the future. These results will have certain reference significance for the in-depth study of quercetin and future research selected topic. |
