| Abstract

| XIA Guicheng,a master of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM),has rich experience and unique academic thoughts,which has great guiding effect on the treatment of infertility today. He emphasizes the treatment of infertility with ovulatory disorder by tonifying the kidney and regulating the period. The deficiency of kidney yang was the main factor in the infertility of luteal function,and there were some pathological factors,such as tonifying the kidney and helping yang,and a few yin deficiency,such as fire stagnation,blood stasis,phlegm dampness and so on. Pelvic or fallopian tube inflammatory infertility is mostly stasis,with damp-heat,cold dampness,spleen and kidney deficiency,treatment of blood stasis,heat and dampness,tonifying spleen and kidney. Immune infertility is mainly of liver and kidney yin deficiency,the treatment is to tonify liver and kidney yin to reduce fire. |
