Abstract
|
[Objective] To systematic explore the antioxidant activities of Shenmai Injection. [Methods] The total antioxidant capability,DPPH· scavenging activity,NO· scavenging activity,H2O2 scavenging activity and Fe2+ chelating activity of the Shenmai Injection, which was diluted by different rates, were determined by Ferrric reducing antioxidant power assay (FRAR),DPPH· scavenging assay,NO· scavenging assay,H2O2 scavenging assay and Fe2+ chelating assay respectively. The results were compared with those of 0.1 mg/mL BHT,10 mmol/L Trolox and 10% citric acid. [Results] Shenmai Injection has certain antioxidant capacity in vitro. The total antioxidant capacity of Shenmai Injection was lower than that of BHT and Trolox (P<0.01),but higher than that of citric acid. The free radical scavenging activities of Shenmai Injection were positive concentration-dependence and were different for different free radical types. The order is NO·[(54.4±6.6)%] > Fe2+ ion[(42.6±3.2)%] > DPPH·[(36.2±2.8)%] > H2O2[(23.5±1.2)%]. [Conclusion] The in vitro experimental data of the antioxidant activities of Shenmai Injection will provide data support for its pharmacological mechanisms. |
