Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the clinical efficacy of ginkgolide injection in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its effects on nerve function.[Methods] The 96 patients with ACI were divided into two groups, with 48 cases in each group. The control group were given routine treatment such as bed rest, oxygen inhalation, nutrition of brain cells, improvement of cerebral circulation and anti-platelet aggregation. The treatment group were given intravenous drip of ginkgolide injection on the basis of routine treatment,10 mL/time,once a day. Both groups were treated continuously for 14 days. The National institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS) score,Barthel index score, blood rheology index and serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),angiopoietin -II (Ang-II) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The total effective rate was compared between the two groups.[Results] After treatment, the NIHSS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.01),the Barthel index score was higher than that of the control group (P<0.01),the serum levels of VEGF and Ang-II were higher than those of the control group (P<0.01),and the levels of GFAP were lower than that of the control group (P<0.01);The whole blood high shear viscosity (HSV),whole blood low shear viscosity (LSV),plasma viscosity (PSV) and red cell specific volume (HCT) were lower than those of the control group (P<0.01). The total effective rate of treatment was higher than that of control group (P<0.05).[Conclusion] Ginkgolides injection in the treatment of ACI is helpful to improve the hemorheological indexes. It can effectively regulate the contents of VEGF、Ang-II、GFAP,and improve the neurological function, and it has remarkable effects.
