Abstract

Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is a common functional disease,which is called "bowel depression" in traditional Chinese medicine. According to the physiological and pathological characteristics of irritable bowel syndrome,Professor GUO Peng has achieved good curative effect by regulating the liver and spleen with the method of soothing the liver and strengthening the spleen and treating them according to syndrome differentiation. This paper systematically expounds Professor GUO's experience in treating IBS from the aspects of etiology,pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation and treatment,as well as the introduction of classic cases,in order to provide theoretical and methodological reference for the treatment of IBS with traditional Chinese medicine. |
