| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical efficacy of Jiaotai Pills combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride in treating depressive disorder of heart-kidney imbalance syndrome.[Methods] Eighty patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into control group (forty cases) and treatment group (forty cases). The total score of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD),HAMD factor score,the reduction rate of HAMD,the score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale and the effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scale were observed for 8 weeks to evaluate the clinical efficacy.[Results] Jiaotai pill combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride for 4 weeks and 8 weeks can significantly reduce the HAMD score,HAMD factor score and TCM syndrome scale score of patients with mild to moderate depression,with significant statistical differences,and the best curative effect was 8 weeks (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Hysteresis score in HAMD factor score was significantly lower in the treatment group than that in the control group at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment (P<0.05). After 8 weeks of treatment with Jiaotai pill and fluoxetine hydrochloride,the HAMD reduction rate and the effective rate of TCM syndrome scale in patients with mild to moderate depression were significantly better than fluoxetine hydrochloride alone,and the total effective rate was better than fluoxetine hydrochloride alone.[Conclusion] Jiaotai pill combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride can relieve depression,improve symptoms and signs of traditional Chinese medicine,and enhance the long-term clinical efficacy of fluoxetine hydrochloride in treating depression. |
