Abstract
|
Takayasu arteritis is a chronic progressive non-specific inflammatory disease involving the aorta and its main branches. Professor CHEN Baogui indicates that Takayasu arteritis belongs to the category of "blood arthralgia" in traditional Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis is mostly deficiency of origin and excess of superficiality, deficiency of qi,blood, yin and yang, phlegm and blood stasis are mutually combined, and pathogenic factors such as wind, cold, dampness and heat are re-sensed,which gradually leads to obstruction of venation. Clinically,wind-cold blocking collaterals,qi deficiency blood stasis, yin deficiency and yang hyperactivity, and damp-heat and toxic excess syndrome are common, which are often accompanied by multiple pathogenic factors, and should be treated flexibly in clinic. |
