Obesity is a metabolic disease in which the intake of energy is greater than the energy consumed, resulting in abnormal accumulation of fat, which is related to genetic, immune, emotional, environmental, endocrine and other factors. Obesity increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis and chronic kidney disease and has become a major public health challenge for middle-income countries. There are two major types of diet pills on the market, pancreatic lipase inhibitors and appetite suppressants acting on the central nervous system. Although the treatment measures are effective, there are many adverse reactions and their safety cannot be determined. The efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine compound in the treatment of obesity has been widely verified in clinical research and animal experiments. The traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine compound treatment of obesity as a clue to explain the theoretical basis of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine compound for treating obesity, from the perspective of key factors in the formation and metabolism of adipose tissue,in order to summarize the therapeutic targets of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of obesity, and propose PPAR-γ,AMPK,Leptin and UPC1 as their common targets, aiming to provide a basis for the experimental design and new drug development of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine compound for the treatment of obesity. |
