| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical efficacy of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis with wind-phlegm blocked collaterals syndrome,and analyze its clinical application value.[Methods] The 80 cases of carotid atherosclerosis with wind-phlegm blocked collaterals syndrome who were treated in our hospital from June 2015 to June 2018 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 40 cases in each group. The control group treated with atorvastatin calcium tablet,the observation group was additionally treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction. Two groups of patients were treated continuously for 6 months. The curative effect,carotid intima-media thickness (IMT),carotid plaque Crouse integral,serum index level of the two groups were compared,and the safety of treatment was analyzed.[Results] The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 3 months and 6 months (P<0.05). After 6 months of treatment,IMT and Crouse scores in both groups were significantly decreased,and the two indexes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 6 months of treatment,the levels of triglyceride (TG),serum total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 6 months of treatment,routine blood,urine,liver and kidney functions,electrocardiogram and other examinations were performed on the patients in the two groups,and no significant changes were observed. No serious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during the treatment.[Conclusion] Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of carotid atherosclerosis with wind-phlegm blocked collaterals syndrome is effective and safe,and worthy of clinical promotion. |
