| Abstract
|
| Microvascular complications of diabetes affect the quality of people with diabetes's life seriously. Professor GAO Yanbin believes that collateral disease is the key to studying microvascular complications of diabetes. Qi-yin deficiency is the origin and initiation of morbidity, and phlegm and blood stasis are important inducing factors. The key of the pathogenesis is collateral obstruction. The sites of diabetic nephropathy and diabetic eye disease belong to blood collateral disease, and the clinical manifestations are consistent with the characteristics of collateral disease. Therefore,it can be treated under the guidance of the theory of collateral disease. The nature of the disease and syndrome including deficiency and excess should be distinguished in treatment. The deficiency should be blame to the deficiency of liver, spleen and kidney, and the deficiency of qi and yin, while excess should be blamed to the phlegm, wetness and stasis. The method of Tongluo must be always used during treatment. |
