Abstract
    Opioids play a very important role in the treatment of cancer pain. However,the related gastrointestinal reactions caused by opioids have attracted more and more attention,of which opioid induced constipation (OIC) is the most common and the most concerned. It not only appears in the early stage of drug use,but also exists in the whole process of opioid analgesic. Therefore,constipation has become the biggest obstacle to the application of opioid analgesia,which seriously affects the treatment of diseases and the quality of life of patients. Traditional Chinese medicine has shown its unique advantages in the treatment of OIC. In the past five years,the author has studied the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in this field,respectively,from the progress of internal treatment,external treatment,combined treatment and related traditional Chinese medicine.
