Abstract
    Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of menstrual disorders and anovulatory infertility in women during childbearing period,and is a common gynecological disease. Its etiology and traditional Chinese medicine syndromes are complex,and phlegm-dampness syndrome is the most common. In recent years,combined with modern science and technology,many scholars have conducted in-depth research on the essential characteristics of phlegm-dampness syndrome in PCOS,and discussed its clinical treatment methods in many ways. This article summarized PCOS phlegm-dampness syndrome from its etiology,syndrome distribution characteristics,clinical manifestations,changes of physical and chemical targets and syndrome differ treatment,staging treatment,integrative medicine therapy,acupuncture combined with other treatments,in order to analyze the clinical syndrome characteristics of PCOS phlegm-dampness syndrome and provide a scientific basis for its clinical diagnosis and treatment.
