Abstract
[Objective] People pay more and more attention to the relationship between physical activity and blood stasis constitution, but the research on the relationship between physical activity and blood stasis constitution is still insufficient and no research has explored the dose-response relationship between the physical activity and blood stasis constitution. This study is to investigate the dose-response relationship between the physical activity and blood stasis constitution, and to provide suggestions scientifically and reasonably for college students.[Methods] The conceived sampling combined with snowball sampling was adopted in college students from February to June 2019. A total of 500 valid questionnaires were distributed, excluding those who did not exercise and had missing values of analysis variables,452 cases were finally included. The blood stasis constitution subscale of the 41-item short version of Constitution in Chinese Medicine Questionnaire(CCMQ-41) was used to evaluate the degree of Blood stasis constitution, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ-SF) was used to measure the total physical activity(Calculating the sum of weekly high and moderate-intensity physical activity and daily walking energy metabolic equivalents).Using multiple linear regression analysis and restricted cubic spline model to fit multiple linear regression model to evaluate the relationship between physical activity and Blood stasis constitution.[Results] Among 452 college students, physical activity was(2 020.39±1 852.3) MET-min per week,Blood stasis constitution score was(35.28±19.91). After adjusting the confounding factors, multiple linear regression showed that there was no statistical significance between physical activity and blood stasis constitution(linear test:β=-0.079,t=-1.640,P=0.102),and the restricted cubic splines showed that there is an L-shaped between physical activity and Blood stasis constitution(Non-linear test:P-nonlinearity<0.01). And the physical activity with the lowest score of blood stasis constitution was about 3 000 MET-min per week, for blood stasis constitution, with the increase of physical activity, the scores of blood stasis constitution decreased, but when the physical activity exceeded 3 000 MET-min per week, the scores of blood stasis constitution basically maintained at a stable level.[Conclusion] Physical activity had L-shaped association with blood stasis constitution. Appropriate physical activity is helpful to reduce blood stasis constitution score and improve health level.
