Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on improving septic gastrointestinal dysfunction patients.[Methods] Sixty patients with septic gastrointestinal dysfunction were randomized divided into the research group (28 cases with 1 rejecting and 1 dropping) and the control group (29 cases with 1 dropping). On the base of sepsis anti-infection and organ function support treatment, the control group was also given oral prokinetic agents while the research group was also given acupuncture. Both groups were observed for 1 week. The APACHEⅡscore, abdominal circumference,intra-abdominal pressure, intestinal sounds and inflammation indicators(leukocyte,C-reactive protein) before and after treatment were observed.[Results] The change of APACHEⅡscore was statistically different in both groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01). There was no significant difference in abdominal circumference between the two groups before and after treatment. The difference of intra-abdominal pressure between the two groups was statistically significant before and after treatment (P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).The differences of intestinal sounds were statistically significant in both groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),and difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).The differences of leukocyte and C-reactive protein were statistically significant in both groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant.[Conclusion] Acupuncture can improve the symptoms of septic gastrointestinal dysfunction patients and enhance gastrointestinal motility. |
