Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the pathogenesis and distribution of traditional Chinese medicine constitution in 246 patients with allergic rhinitis through cross-sectional investigation of their medical history and constitutional factors.[Methods] 246 patients with allergic rhinitis who visited our outpatient department in 2020 were selected according to the admittance standard, and the medical history was collected and the constitution of Traditional Chinese medicine was identified. Pearson-χ2 was used to analyze the differences among the data, and P<0.05 was considered to be significant and statistically significant.[Results] Among the 246 patients with allergic rhinitis, most of the subjects were mild,Yang-deficient and specific. The three most common TCM constitutions are:120 cases of special constitutions (18.8%),107 cases of Yang-deficiency constitutions (16.7%),and 89 cases of dampness-heat constitutions (13.9%),which account for 49.4% in total. The TCM constitutions of male allergic rhinitis patients with more distribution were special innate qualities (49 cases),accounting for 20.0%,hot and humid (45 cases),18.4%,34 cases (13.9%),and the three constitutions accounted for 52.3% in total. The traditional Chinese medicine constitutions of female allergic rhinitis were Yang deficiency substance 76 cases (19.2%),special substance 71 cases (18.0%),hot and humid substance 44 cases (11.1%),and these three constitutions accounted for 48.3% in total. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The top three constitutions of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with allergic rhinitis in northern China are Yang-deficiency substance, special essence and hot and humid substance. The top three constitutions of traditional Chinese medicine in allergic rhinitis patients in Southern China are:special intrinsic quality,Yang-deficiency quality and hot and humid quality;the most common TCM constitutions in patients with allergic rhinitis in Northwest China are the special essence. There was no statistical significance(P>0.05).[Conclusion] The common TCM constitutions of allergic rhinitis are special intrinsic quality,Yang-deficiency quality and damp-heat quality. The distribution of TCM constitutions in allergic rhinitis patients of different genders is different, but there is no obvious difference in the distribution of TCM constitutions in allergic rhinitis patients of different regions. |
