Data mining and biological mechanism exploration of Professor ZHAO Jinxi's core prescription in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract
    [Objective] Based on the data mining and network pharmacology technology,the core compatibility,potential targets and action mechanism of Professor ZHAO Jinxi's drugs for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) were discussed and studied.[Methods] The medical records of 325 cases of T2DM treated by Professor ZHAO Jinxi were collected,and the compatibility of core drugs was screened by association rules algorithm. TCMSP platform was used to screen the active ingredients of core prescriptions,and STITCH,TTD,DrugBank,GAD and DisGeNET databases were used to screen drugs and T2DM-related targets. MCODE algorithm in Cytoscape is used to identify the functional modules,and ClueGO plug-in is used to analyze the functions.[Results] The core combination of 6 drugs including Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi,Radix Puerariae,Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge,Agrimonia pilosa,Lychee Seed and Cortex Lycii was screened out by correlation analysis. Through network pharmacological analysis,58 drug-disease related targets were obtained and 5 functional modules were identified. The 18 related pathways were obtained by KEGG pathway analysis of important targets.[Conclusion] The treatment of T2DM with core prescription is a multi-component,multi-target,multi-link and synergistic process. Its target may be SLC2A2,SLC2A4,TNF,PPARA and PPARG,and it can play a role by regulating fat factor signal pathway and PPAR signal pathway.
