| Professor WU Shentao, as an expert in the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment group for the COVID-19 in Tianjin, participated in the front-line work of anti-epidemic in Chinese medicine. He believed that the COVID-19 belongs to the "turbid virus disease" of TCM. Its pathogenesis lies in the stagnation of turbidity and silt, the rot and the poisoning of turbidity. The upper and lower lung qi is closed, the spleen and stomach are neutralized, the lower intestines are dry, and the triple burn is spread throughout the body. Treatment should follow the "three causes of conditions" syndrome differentiation and treatment. Based on the pathogenesis of turbid toxin, the method of removing turbidity and detoxification should be used throughout the treatment. For severe patients, proper use of the method of turbidity and turbidity can play a role in cutting and reversing the condition. During the recovery period, the spleen should be turned into turbidity, and the qi should be raised and lowered. Daily prevention should focus on preventing disease beforeillness, and maintaining righteousness. |
