| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical efficacy of Chaiqi Decoction in treating patients with metabolic syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency.[Methods] Using a random number table method,80 patients with metabolic syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency were divided into two groups. The control group received 40 patients with basic treatment(control diet and appropriate exercise);the treatment group received 40 patients with basic treatment and Chaiqi Decoction. After 3 months of treatment,the changes in blood pressure,BMI,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,and blood lipids of the two groups were observed,and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes was evaluated.[Results] The blood pressure,BMI,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,and blood lipids of the treatment group were improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05);compared with the control group,systolic blood pressure,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,TC,LDL-C improved significantly(P<0.05);comparing the efficacy of TCM syndromes between the two groups,the total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusion] Chaiqi Decoction was effective in treating metabolic syndrome of liver depression and spleen deficiency,which can improve insulin resistance and regulate glucose and lipid metabolism. |
