Abstract
|
Polysaccharides are important component of human diet and have rich biological activities. Bile acids are the major component of intestinal lipid digestibility and the key signaling factor of metabolic homeostasis, which have crucial impact on human health. Studies have shown that some active polysaccharides can regulate the level of bile acids in vivo. Bile acids are reabsorbed, metabolized and excreted through the intestine, and the biological activities of polysaccharides are also closely related to the intestinal tract. This article reviews the research progress of active polysaccharides regulating bile acids from the aspects of adjusting intestinal bile acid transporters, regulating gut microbiota and binding directly to the bile acids. |
