Abstract
|
[Objective] To analyze the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndromes in overseas imported patients infected with Omicron, variant strains of novel coronavirus, and provide clinical evidence for the prevention and treatment of the disease.[Methods] Overseas imported ethnic Chinese patients infected with Omicron admitted to Tianjin Haihe Hospital from December 22th, 2021 to January 9th, 2022 were selected as the research subjects. The general conditions, respiratory symptoms, systemic symptoms, lung CT manifestations, states of tongue and TCM syndromes of the patients were collected and analyzed.[Results] Most of the 43 patients were male, mainly from the United States and the Philippines, of which the asymptomatic type accounted for 13.95%, the mild type accounted for 44.19%, the common type accounted for 41.86%, and there were no severe and dangerous types. According to the course of disease, 43 patients were analyzed, and the results showed that in the early stage of onset, the main syndrome was plague invading the defensive exterior, gradually evolved into heat toxin attacking the lung syndrome and dampness obstructing spleen-stomach syndrome, and in the later stage, the main syndrome was deficiency of qi and yin and nostalgia for dampness. Lung CT manifestations were mainly single lung lesions, in which ground glass shadows were more common.[Conclusion] Compared with novel coronavirus pneumonia in 2020, Omicron is characterized by strong infectious and mild clinical symptoms. |
