The wound healing time, healing rate, and wound scores of 3, 7 and 10 days after treatment were statistically analyzed for a total of 80 children treated with traditional Chinese medicine and conventional dressing changes.[Results] The average healing time of the Chinese medicine treatment group was (10.38±2.25) d, and the average healing time of the control group was(15.42±4.53) d. The average healing time of the Chinese medicine treatment group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05). The average wound scores of the traditional Chinese medicine treatment group were (20.73±2.95) points, (15.33±2.05) points, and (11.88±3.02) points at 3, 7 and 10 days after treatment, and the control group was (23.28±1.97) points, (20.61±2.86) points, (17.17±2.19) points, there was improved better of the scores of the Chinese medicine treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusion] Traditional Chinese medicinal preparations are effective and feasible as a method to treat stage Ⅱ pressure ulcers in children caused by plaster or splint fixation after traumatic fractures.
